L.S. Brinker served as construction manager for the addition, renovation and general improvements project for the West Bloomfield Township Water & Sewer Utilities Building.
Brinker estimators worked closely with design partner, DLZ corporation to establish an improvement plan and cost estimates that were mindful of budget and material/labor costs. The team worked to identify general improvements to the very aged existing building, and to plan for two new additions totaling 5,000 sq. ft. on either side of the building to accommodate the Water and Sewer Billing Division office spaces, additional public bathrooms, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a break room, training/meeting room, SCADA systems room, conference room and other miscellaneous appurtenances associated with interior improvements of the building.
In addition to the new additions and renovation of 1,600 sq. ft. of existing office space, the project also included the full removal and replacement of approximately 26,000 sq. ft. of existing roof area, and the installation of all associated mechanical systems and multiple roof access points.
