Built from the ground up.

Larry Brinker Sr. started his entrepreneurial journey as a carpenter apprentice with a goal to build something of his own! In 1989, he did just that – opening a small carpentry business, Brinker Team Construction, as the first of the family of five companies in Detroit. He instilled a deep sense of integrity, firmly held beliefs and life long values that have guided the organization and all of our decisions from the start. When others left the city because times were tough, we doubled down and stayed, and we’re still here, continuing to make this city great. To this day, Larry Sr. continues to preside over Brinker as owner and chairman. Now his son, Larry Jr., continues in his father’s footsteps as chief executive officer, leading the day-to-day and carrying the legacy of this vision, integrity, and belief in the importance of building the community, forward.

Through our acquisitions, today we are five independent companies that come together as one to provide the most comprehensive building solutions in the market. There is strength in our name, and inherent value too. By combining our efforts, we mobilize the teams, leverage our preconstruction and estimating knowledge, project management and buying power, to get things done.

Throughout our remarkable growth, we have maintained a reputation for quality workmanship and a commitment to building long-term relationships – not just business alliances. But this relationship is beyond the workings of our company. Our relationship is with our community, and the home we call Detroit.

We’ve helped rebuild this city into a world-class destination for doing business. As Larry Jr. has said, “How bold are we in Detroit? What have we built and been a part of? Just look and point.” And the case in point is the famed Woodward Avenue corridor alone. From the Detroit Institute of Arts to the Fox Theatre, the Detroit Medical Center Campus to Wayne State Integrative Biosciences Center, from the Mike Ilitch School of Business to Little Caesars Arena, we are proud of our presence in the Motor City.
