Edgewood Electric, a Brinker company, provided complete electrical services for for the redevelopment of one of District Detroit’s most iconic buildings, The Eddystone.
Originally opened to the public in 1924, the 13-story Italian Renaissance-style building designed by famed architect, Louis Kamper has been impeccably restored, combining 1920s craftsmanship with modern finishes and state-of-the-art amenities. With 92 residential units consisting of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, each residence features stylized interior finishes and modern fixtures that compliment the building’s historic appearance, as well as open concept floor plans and smart home technology. The Eddystone’s ground floor features a 5,000-square-foot, 85-seat restaurant, an eclectic first-floor lounge and art-infused interiors comprising a curated collection of works from Detroit-based artists.
Edgewood Electric performed work on all of the lighting, signage and electrical fixtures throughout the building, as well as the installation of all lighting controls and fire alarm systems.
