Huntington Tower in downtown Detroit is located across from Comerica Park at 2025 Woodward Avenue, where the city’s historic and entertainment districts intersect. Set into the designated historical district, detailed precast concrete panels feature surface relief that emulate the scale, rhythm, and texture of the surrounding historic context. The main body of the tower, located in the entertainment district, uses a lightly tinted green glass set in anodized aluminum curtain wall framing members.
The first ten floors above the ground level retail are structured parking with select areas open to provide ventilation, and a Huntington branch located within the lobby on the main level. The nine floors above provide office space for about 750 Huntington Bank employees. Perforated metal panels obscure these openings, providing a sculptural, layered effect on the façade. The glass curtain wall system obscures the parking levels with the use of lightly etched glass resulting in a uniform building façade.
The rooftop and 19th floor terrace provides outdoor access for team members and gives Huntington the opportunity to host community events. On the rooftop, movies and sporting events can be projected on the side of the tower. Designed as LEED Certifiable, the rooftop features solar panels and a green roof.
