Today we celebrated the topping out and completion of structural steel at the new Cody High School in Detroit.
The final beam has been signed by students, faculty, members of the community and the construction team, and hoisted into place atop the building.
“Building schools is about far more than constructing a building. It’s about creating opportunity, strengthening neighborhoods, and investing in the future of our communities. The new Cody High School will serve generations of Detroit students, and Brinker Christman JV is honored to play a role in delivering a facility that reflects the promise and potential of the city’s young people. We are grateful to Detroit Public Schools Community District for the trust they’ve placed in our team, and we look forward to building a school that the entire community can be proud of.”
— Larry Brinker Jr., President & CEO, Brinker
Congratulations to the Detroit Public Schools Community District, residents of the Cody Rouge neighborhood, the City of Detroit, Ghafari Associates, our joint venture partner, The Christman Company, and all of the trades who are teamed with us in bringing this next generation institution of learning online.
