The Critical Care Tower for Children’s Hospital of Michigan was a $97M multi-phase project that consisted of a six-story patient tower and the reconfiguration of all its double-occupancy rooms to private rooms. Our team was responsible for the temporary relocation of the existing Emergency Department and medical records group to facilitate demolition of the Holden Wing of the Chilidren’s Hospital, and the demolition and relocation of the Ronald McDonald facility. Temporary construction of a new main entrance facilitated the reworking of the main entry drive and a new addition to the hospital lobby.
New construction included the addition of the new 185,000 sq. ft. Critical Care Tower, as well as subsequent renovations of existing Pre-Post OP and Surgical Support space, and subsequent renovations to improve the relocated Emergency Department.
