Director, Safety, Brinker
Richard has over 31 years of experience in the construction industry. Throughout his career, he has consistently displayed the highest level of standards to ensure a safe jobsite every time. He is responsible for environmental, health and safety awareness and training of all field employees. Richard maintains current knowledge of all federal (OSHA), state (MIOSHA), local and Brinker safety work rules and guidelines to effectively develop and update on-site safety plans and procedures for best practices.
As the Director of Safety, Rich oversees a team of safety managers who are assigned to projects to ensure compliance with all safety standards. He and his team work with all necessary entities to develop the site-specific safety plan including orientation of all workers. He conducts communication meetings with the entire project team, makes scheduled and unannounced site safety inspections, and issues non-compliance reports to trade subcontractors as needed in accordance with safety regulations. Richard is part of the safety team at the Ford Michigan Central Station project site working in commitment to the Level 3 Safety Agreement with MIOSHA.
